Most screenshot tools are overloaded with features — annotation tools, cloud storage, sharing links, team accounts. Simple Screenshot Capture does one thing: capture your tab and save it as a file. Nothing more, nothing less.
The extension uses Chrome’s built-in tab capture API to grab a pixel-perfect image of the visible area. For full page capture (Pro), it scrolls through the entire page and stitches the screenshots together. The result downloads as a high-quality PNG file.
The extension is free to use for visible area screenshots. An optional Pro upgrade ($9.99 one-time) unlocks full page scroll capture, which screenshots the entire scrollable page as one tall image.
Simple Screenshot Capture was built by Duncan Rawlinson, a photographer and technologist based in Canada.
